Cast your mind back to BB8 and you'll be able to recall countless arguments, rule breaking and bitchiness, yes that is the usual format taken on by the BB housemates. However, dig a little deeper in your thoughts and the images of the Victoria Beckham lookalike will pop up quickly. Yes, the glamorous Chanelle Hayes was one of the most popular characters of BB8 and her on-and-off love affair with Ziggy kept viewers hooked to see what would happen next! Well, the 19-year-old has done pretty well since launching a perfume, presenting on Nuts TV and appearing in a series of different magazines posing rather scantily clad in the majority of these. However, her next step on the fame ladder includes releasing her debut single 'I Want It'.
Review
In the past BB contestants have released embarressing and badly performed singles desperately trying to cling onto their fifteen minutes of fame, however Chanelle has had a pretty decent go at it and has done rather well. Her song is catchy and sexy with a great beat to dance along to on the dancefloor, especially the club mix. Unfortunately her video puts me off a little, the sex factor goes a little over the top and for the majority of the video she is in her lingerie, if it was an Ann Summers advert she'd fit in swimmingly, but would parents really want their thirteen-year-old daughter looking upto someone with that much skin on show? Plus, her music seems a bit dated, go back five years and think of Britney Spears, aha! I Want It would fit in perfectly however the sound that's popular the moment is more refined with less electronically controlled notes and louder base. But these things can be changed and it is possible for Chanelle to adapt to the newer and fresh sound of the noughties and if she does this I believe she could become a success.
